Solar panel installation survey

This survey is designed to make the possible installation of your solar panels as trouble free as possible. It is also an important pre-requisite to us contacting you with regard to a possible Solar Panel Installation. In most cases it is not necessary for us to carry out a full site survey. Please answer the questions as honestly as possible, as this again will make the installation process as painless as possible. Even if you do not choose a solar panel installation supplied by us, the information that you will be asked for in this survey, is common to any solar panel system you might consider installing.

Please note that we are a firm of professional plumbers that specialise in all aspects of plumbing, but also have developed an extensive knowledge of Solar Panel installation based on 100’s of working Solar installations. We do not employ pushy salesman, but create custom Solar solutions!

The biggest factor affecting the performance of your solar panel, will be its south facing position. The better the south facing aspect, the better the performance. Do you have a South facing roof? Installation Inside Details
How easy will it be for our installer to access the roof space behind where the panel will go? We will need clear access to the back of the Solar panel to make our connections.		Easy Access is difficult

Installation Outside Details Our installer will need to access the roof to fit the panel. This will normally be done with a portable scaffold tower. The tower must go directly below the panels and must also fit tight to the side of the house. Please see the pictures here to judge how easy this will be. If in doubt answer ‘don’t know’ and we can discuss this further. If fixed scaffold is required this is at our discretion and is charged at cost price to you. We will only specify fixed scaffold in a small minority of situations to comply with Health & Safety regulations. Should be ok      Not sure Will probably need scaffold
